1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Theatre Community. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Theatre Community ("we," "our," or "us") governing your access to and use of our platform. By creating an account or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use our platform. These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which our business is registered.
2. Eligibility
You must meet the following requirements to use our platform:
- •Be at least 13 years of age
- •Have legal capacity to enter binding contracts
- •Not be prohibited under Canadian law
- •Provide accurate information during registration
3.2 Account Types
We offer different account types (Actor, Director, Producer, Crew, Theatre Company, Enthusiast). You may only create one account and must accurately represent your professional role in the theatre community.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

Our platform is designed to connect theatre professionals, facilitate collaboration, and support theatrical productions. You may use the platform for legitimate theatrical and professional networking purposes.

5.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you post, upload, or share on our platform ("User Content"). By posting User Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content in connection with operating and providing our services.
5.2 Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that:
- •You own or have necessary rights to post your content
- •Your content does not violate any laws or third-party rights
- •You have obtained all necessary permissions and consents
5.3 Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, review, or remove User Content that violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We may remove content or suspend accounts without prior notice.
6. Marketplace Terms
6.1 Marketplace Listings
Our marketplace allows users to buy and sell theatre-related items. We are not a party to transactions between users. Sellers are responsible for accurate descriptions, pricing, and fulfillment of sales.
6.2 Buyer and Seller Responsibilities
- •Sellers must accurately describe items, honor commitments, and comply with applicable laws
- •Buyers are responsible for reviewing listings and arranging payment and delivery
- •All transactions are between users; we are not responsible for disputes or product quality

7. Intellectual Property
The platform, including its design, features, and content (excluding User Content), is owned by Theatre Community and protected by Canadian and international intellectual property laws.
"Theatre Community" and associated logos are our trademarks. You may not use our trademarks without prior written consent.
8. Organizations & Teams
Users may create organizations and teams to manage theatrical productions. Organization owners are responsible for managing members, content, and activities within their organizations. We are not liable for disputes between organization members or activities conducted by organizations.
11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
11.1 "As Is" and "As Available"
Our platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, Theatre Community and its directors, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill.
Our total liability to you for all claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or CAD $100, whichever is greater.
11.3 Consumer Protection
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Canadian law or consumer protection legislation.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Theatre Community from claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from:

13. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through your settings.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, pose security risks, or as required by law. Upon termination, your User Content may be deleted, subject to backup retention periods.
14. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
14.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada and the province where our business is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14.2 Informal Resolution
If you have a dispute with us, you agree to first contact us and attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will work with you in good faith to reach a mutually acceptable resolution.
14.3 Jurisdiction
Subject to mandatory consumer protection laws, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Your Province], Canada for resolution of any disputes arising from these Terms.
15. Changes to Terms
